Well-known Marathi author and children's poet Kalyan Inamdar expired in Pune on Monday afternoon following a brief illness, according to his publisher Arun Jakhade.

He was 68 and is survived by his wife and two daughters who are married, Jakhade said by phone from Pune.

Inamdar July 2 suffered a brain haemorrhage and was rushed to the Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital. He died this afternoon around 2.30 pm, Jakhade said.
