Perfume magnate G D Kelkar, better known as Attarwale Kelkar, passed away here today following a brief illness, family sources said. He was 78.
Kelkar along with his brother V G Vaze had founded the Kelkar group in 1922, which is country''s largest fragrance and flavour maker and bulk manufacturers. He was also the founder of Kelkar College in suburban Mulund.
Kelkar had also penned a book ''Fragrance and Success.''
