Out of the 3,304 computers introduced in 49 Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)-run schools for the use of secondary and higher secondary students, nearly 70 per cent are not in working condition.
Over the last three years, 3,304 computers were donated to the civic body by Reliance, Sterlite Foundation, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan and several non-governmental organisations.
Out of these, 2,300 are not in working condition, making it difficult for these schoolchildren to get basic computer education.
