Indian police arrested a physics teacher who allegedly disciplined 22 unruly teenage students by giving them electric shocks, authorities said Wednesday.
The teacher used an exposed wire connected to batteries to administer mild shocks to eighth grade students in at a school in Bhusaval, a town 225 miles northeast of Mumbai, said S. Wagmare, the area's deputy superintendent of police.
The incident took place Saturday when the teacher "called the students to the laboratory for exercises, but he found them to be rowdy," Wagmare said.

Iam not supporting these mild shocks or whatever but iam sure i have taken more shocking things then all these in my school days .. and i remember all my school teachers till date, good old days.
The only shocks in my school days were the marks i used to get in maths and science exams... they were so bad that they used to shock my parents as well

hehe same here manishbhau. In above maths ,science list I will also add histroy :) I got shocks from both teacher and dad but still on improvement.
I remeber once my physics teacher had thrown my physics answersheet on my face and said I was Hopeless ;)From then I hated Her and her subjects (physics & history)
Finally Those days are over & I dont miss them at all.
I was made to kneel on salt cause I once threw a water baloon on a teacher :(
When I was in 6th standard our PT teacher scolded me with cane as my leg movements were mis-matching with others :(

My civics teacher use to spit while talking, though i was a first bencher i didn't knew about helmets then. So one day came to the class with glasses on and cloth all over my face. I was made to seat among girls .. :( ... :) .
I was made to do 100 baithaks non-stop for calling a teacher donkey behind his back.
To this day I hate doing any type of exercises because of this 'traumatic' incident :-)
hahahah this is the most funniest one among all and come on u cannot call it shock or punishment its like an award to make u sit among girls :)
I knw boys used to feel very embarrassed with this so-called punishment in school.But this punishment was no more given in college I guess u guys then would have done all sort of things to get this punishment :-D
yur absolutely right... even I was put 1 enitre month between girls (I hated the smell of that Dabur amla oil which most of the girls used to put in school) . I think even funaholic used to use that same oil :)
