Yesterday I was travelling back to home from Work. I got into Local train from second last station and wanted to get down at last station. Compartment was empty and I was planning to stand at the gate. Suddenly I noticed that one plastic bag was hanging at door's handle. One more guy was standing behind me. I brought this thing under his notice. He went ahead and was about to open it. I asked him not to do so. Meanwhile train started and we both were looking at that bag with holding our breath and was waiting for next station to come.
We both decided to inform Railway police at next station. Meanwhile one more chap came to the door and was standing very much close to that bag knowing that it is suspectable item. What a careless attitude!!!!!!!!!!!!
Soon train reached station, the other person who was with me from starting, got down and went. I was alone left in that empty compartment deciding what to do next. I got down and searched entire platform to find police but could not found anyone. So I went ahead to railway office and informed there. Till that office person came alongeith me, Train started again for return journey to town. That railway chap also wave his hand in "Chalata hain, Jane Do" kindda.
Thankfully no bad incidence have heard after that. Somebody might be standing on door have forgotten to take back his plastic bag.
I remembered my dicussion with other Katta members regarding measures should be taken to create awareness among society to avoid any further incidence. But then is this the way we are going to behave? Sorry to say then, event such as bomb blast and terrorist attacks will continue.

As per my previous experience, India is not serious about homeland security measures. While the international travels, i observed that the Indian security personnel are not very keen to perform their duty, They just try to gauge you by ur face !, even if their metal detectors detect any metallic objects in ur pockets. This is horrible when compared to the security in US / UK etc. Also The Quality and Quantity of Infrastructure provided to security personnel in india is not enough.

chief concern of our internal security is not only the low motivational levels of security officials and personnels but also our netas. our netas consider themselves as above the law. yesterday itself Times of India's Nagpur edition carried a photograph showing the vehicles of followers of an influential local neta parked dangrously near the Nagpur airport tarmac. This is a clear breach of security which can pose a threat to the security of airport. Manytimes we read in newspapers that a neta has made a tamasha at airport when he was stopped for a mandatory security check. Are these netas above the laws of the land? Don't they have any sense of resposibility towards the security of common citizens? while dealing with the important issues relating to national security first of all these netas must be made accountable and resposible. For this security personnels must be given full powers to frisk anyone irrespective his status, power, position in the society.
