The Shiv Sena is protesting against the recruitment policies of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) and is planning a demonstration. It claims that locals are not being given enough representation in the recruitment process.
Sena-led Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Kamgar Sangh has written to MTNL bosses, saying outsiders are being preferred. Union leader and MLC Arvind Sawant said, "Some time ago, MTNL advertised for the posts of junior telecom officer, junior accounts and management trainees, only on their website. Most Maharashtrian youths would not have access to this advertisement. We compelled them to advertise in Marathi papers.''
He added that the MTNL received 15,000 applications and 1,400 persons have been short-listed. "Of this, there are only 100 aspirants from Mumbai. The rest are from northern areas like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi. Isn't this unfair?. Why should educated Marathi youths be prevented from getting executive jobs in MTNL?'' He also added that they are going to launch a massive agitation soon if posts are not reserved for locals.

THis Sena Tactices are temporary Corcodiel tears surfaced only after MNS taken over marathi peoples gunine rights in democratic Indian State where marathi's are discriminated in employment opportunities not only in Government Jobs but also Private sector within State of maharastra.
When Shivsena was in power as NDA allies their Ministers were Anandrao Adsule, Manohar Joshi, Suresh Prahu, Subhash Jadhav they were holding important ministries like Ministry of Heavy Industriaes, Chemical & Fertilizers, etc but their ministers did nothing for marathi who approach to them while they were minister.
I approached Anandrao Adsule who was Cabinate Minister of one job in Central Government PSU as Head of HR where I was qualified because I was already Head of Personnel in one PSU but recommendation Letter of Mr. Anandrao Adsule was not intertained then minister Arun Shouri and his deputy minister Satish Pradhan because they did not had credibility in NDA government nor they has influence in NDA government.
If people of maharashtra believe this Shivsena people then only God can save them because Shivsena efforts will never been helpful as this is only publicity stunt to gain some sympathy and draw public attention towards Shivsena. But in reality they are wasting time of innocent maharashtrian people and this is nothing but cheating tactice in light of comming Assembly Election.
If it was an HR position which needed English, you definitely should not have got the job! Looking at your English, it is definitely not HR-head quality English!!
Its a different matter if the job needed only Marathi communications however.
