Most devotees have either sought a good job or a good husband but there are many unusual requests from people who seem to have lost all hope in the material world and whose only hope is Lalbaugcha Raja.
One of the most moving letters is by a Maharashtrian woman. Written in English, it says, "Today lakhs of people in Bihar are suffering. May Lord Ganesh help them in all their difficulties. More than me, people in Bihar need Lord Ganesh's help." She prays that the Lord help them just the way he had helped a cancer-stricken child for whom she had prayed earlier.
