sir
Kindly allow me to differ in the matter. Why Shivaji Maharaj got angree with Jasavatsing who was ranked ahead of Shivaji Maharaj at Agra Darbar of Aurangabad despite he was defeated by Shivaji Maharaj earlier and ran away from battlefield. Respectable expection of Maharana Pratap and his son other Rajput had adopted concilitary stance against mogul. They played roti beti politics. Remember Mirza Jaisingh who took Shivaji Maharaj to Agra. When we visit royal palace a feeling of shame always in our mind on the contrary when I roam delapidated Raigad and other forts my mind is full of respect. These forts were battling forts not indulged in Nachgana and shurangar
When Maharaja Jaswatsingh died in Kabul, Aurangjeb was utmost happy and exclaimed, " Daar - Kufr Shikast ho gaya ! Means Kaafironaka Buland Darwaaja Gir gaya ! As a Marathi I am also great admirer of Shree Shivajai Maharaj. But one should not forget that if Diler Khan were to be the chief commander of Mughal army in the place of Mirza Raja Jaysingh, it would have been The End of Swaraajya . Maharashtra owes a lot to Mirza Raja for this. Only because of his assurance to Shivaji Maharaj, Aurangzeb was compelled to keep Shivaji Maharaj alive. This is only one example. If u read this book , you will have a new vision to review the history.
