According to a new amendment which is yet to be implemented in the I.T. Act 2006, the givernment will soon make the provision of false information like non-existent residential or official address. This would make the act a punishable offence that entails a prison sentence upto two years.
Puting "Abcd" and "xyz" in the address is first normal thing we learnt on the net. Will that lead us into the prison. Don't think so, the act is made for those who wants your money transfered into their account for treating their cousin in africa or has a master plan to multiply your money in fraction of time or some other crap.
There is a very thin line between don't want to reveal the identity or giving out the wrong identity, internet users also need to understand that very well along with the lawmakers. In the real sense giving false identity is also a cult thing until it doesn't lead to something serious.

This is dangerous. Creating a fake address on the net is important - otherwise everyone will be able to track anyone, and there is the hacker problem too. Addresses are too dangerous
