I saw his entire speech on star maja news channel which only this channel had shown and I did not sense anything wrong in what he said. Infact I loved it :).I saw it again and again .After a long time I luved watching some leader addressing a rally which I used to luv long back when Bal Thackeray used to address such rallies.
Back to the point If you hear the entire speech He did not say anything wrong and it was not against “Uttarbhartiya“ which the other TV channels (non marathi) made it look like. As they never showed his entire speech but just showed few lines he spoke which obviously then appeared much more stern and aggressive.
He mainly targeted State Govt of Maharashtra for being partial which obviously they are. Here they can make a BHOJPURI movie Tax free but when question comes of doing something for marathi film Industry or drama industry they say “we don’t have budget.” I guess this topic was also discussed on katta If I m not wrong.
He questioned up, bihar govt as to why this govt is not taking responsibility of their people. Why they are not creating job opportunities for them their? Why cannot they see that its putting pressure on other states? Isn’t it their responsibility?
Thirdly in case of Amitabh Bachan. He was not against him starting a school there but he said that Mumbai gave Amitabh this stardom but when the question comes of giving priority he selected his own state for being a brand ambassador or for starting school or doing bhojpuri movies. So If such a man can give priority to his mother tongue then Why should not I? That was his question. He further said Amitabh Bachan is a brand name, why isn’t he voicing an issue of Maharashtra Farmers which will have a good impact.
I don’t know if yesterday’s speech of Raj Thackrey was a popularity or political stunt or whatever you call but I wish he is honest with what he said about marathi, Maharashtrians. I told my dad don’t you think raj Thackrey was a deserving candidate for Shiv Sena than Udhav?

1)Other Channels manipulated what Raj Thackrey said in reality, he never insulted Amitabh bacchan. In fact Jaya Bacchan insuled Raj Thackrey and that was entierly political.
2)Bhojpuri films which are just 3-4 years old in mumbai can be tax free but 100 years old marathi theater is still orphan in its own state. Anger is justified.

See, sourabh is being positive. Give tax free status to bhojpuri or not give it - the fact is, if you want promotion of Marathi culture, fight for THAT. No need to bring up something else for contrast all the time - thats typical of cunning politicians.

Quotas are in Mumbai based colleges only, and not over all of Maharshtra...he he. Merit swamy, merit: how does your theory of merit alone prevailing square with 50 % Linguistic minority quota? Where is the merit/hard work/drive/energy and so on and so forth? Where is the cosmo song?
Appreciated: Reservations for local, not because he is marathi speaking but since he should not be forced to go long for education.... Swamy, why should reservations not be for Marathi speaking people? There can be reservations for Tamilains in TN, Keralites in KL, Goans in Goa, Punjabis in Punjab, Telugus in AP, Kannadigas in Karnataka, Bengalis in WB, Oriyas in Orissa, Gujaratis in Gujarart...and all these quotas can be there for these communtieis in our state AS WELL!! If quotas should not be for linguistic/religions-then why are you so silent on the linguistic minority quotas prevalent in Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan, Dombivili, Pen and so on? Where is your sentiment that quotas should not be there for lingustic/religious reasons?

yeah right...who is the public in Haryana? Haryanvis...so who benefits from 25 % reservation...who else but Haryanvis?
Who is the public in Punjab? Punjus..so who benefits from 85 % reservation-who else but Punjabis?
Who is the public in TN? So who benefits but Tamilians?
So, to cut a long story short, these decisions are taken to benefit the local people BECAUSE QUOTAS BENEFIT THE LOCAL PEOPLE i.e. PUBLIC INTEREST, therefore when politicians reserve seats, they do it very much in public interest i.e. the local public..local people's interest.
Public interest in all states means that which is in the interest of the local people of that state. Reservations benefit LOCAL PEOPLE, hence these decisions are actually TOTALLY IN PUBLIC INTEREST, because reservations=local people=public interest.
Therefore, reservations for locals are in THE PUBLIC INTEREST OF THE PEOPLE of that state!!
Swamy, think a little. If it wasn't in the local people's interest, they would have opposed it right?! Complained right?! Made protest, candle light Marches, written letters of complaints-right? After all, if it isn;t in your interest, you'll complain right?
