The local train commuters who travel to and from Virar will on the International Human Rights Day, December 10 boycott the trains to protest against the failure of the Western Railway authorities to make arrangements for more local trains to ply from Virar.
Mr Shailendra Kamble, convener of Pravaas Adhikar Andolan Samiti (PAAS) said, "The railway authorities refuse to increase the frequency of Virar locals. This has led to conditions in Virar trains getting worse by the day. People die very often due to suffocation in the over-crowded trains," he alleged
