Honest and hard-working BMC employees have been quitting to join the private sector frustrated by the lethargy of the civic body.
Get serious, if human stop fearing god, stop respecting good (till now we are in position to consider housewives in respectable category); then it will eventually become animal from social animal.

I meant, the news is not funny. Its a desparate attemps to control the corruption. The only way to prevent a human doing wrong things is by making him accountable to himself. If they stop fearing that God will be unhappy if they do wrong things. Wife won't object unethical actions. In such situation where there is no award/reward or appreciation for being good, people will actually become unaccountable for their actions. On a larger picture there will be no more "society", sort of "jungle raj" which eventually leads human from "social animal" to animal found in forest.
I am not a good writer, may be few intellectuals from marathikatta be able to elaborate on the idea.
Wives won't object enethical actions, as long as it gets more money. I agree with saurabh on that. In fact i would say wives are one of the reasons for corruptions, If there is no wife, there won't be demand's and no demands means sufficient money at hand. No corruption.

Still wouldn't be enough for the evening peg. Thats one major reason of BMC corruption.
Trust me I know quite a few BMC employees and workers. Some of them have better attendance at bars then at work.
