Yes, you read it right.. an entire Bus Stop was stolen in Mumbai !!
In a surprise move and first of its kind of robbery, some miscreants removed the new stylish bus shelters put up by the BEST authorities at the Shastri Nagar in suburban Borivali.
On Tuesday morning it was noticed that the bus stop which was installed by the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) on Sunday was missing from the busy Shastri Nagar area in suburban Borivali, a top BEST official said.

The stolen bus-stop is (was) next stop to mine.
It is a very busy junction with a big mall, an electronics superstore, a popular hotel and a petrol pump next to it. Besides there is a large temple and a church nearby.
In short it is totally crowded throughout the day and even at night there are lot of private security guards about.
On the other hand my bus-stop is quiet, secluded and less crowded. throughout the day there are hardly any people about. In the night there are only a couple of dogs about the place
So this news is all the more surprising.. or maybe the dogs showed a strong sense of ownership :-)
हा हा हा..... घोर कलयुग....
What about our Best buses are they also made up of steel ??
I remember Marathi movie "Jau tithe khau" in that vihir(well) stolen from the farm. You have to watch the movie to know how?.
After all the dustbins got stolen from all over mumbai ,this is one step further.I feel the only way to stop it is to have security cameras
What if someone steals security cameras?
