I joined Marathikatta, thinking that it is a place where all Maharashtrians are comming together and do some worth dicussion. I know very well that this is not a time to fight between local & national issues, blamming politicians, asking resignations, choking cities nothing will help. An unrepairable damage has already been done and A long lasting properly decided stratergy needs to be drawn and implemented with keeping our head cool with the help of other nation also as Terrorism is not at a national issue . It was an international issue from the day one. Only post 9/11 US and other western countries are agreed to this.
And that is what is expected here. People should come together and discuss. But Is this a way to dicuss thing? When last week tragedy was going on, one self proclaim reporter started this where is RAJ & Marathis? My intention to write was to reply to such comments. But our friend Mr. Chankya is just not trying to listen. He further went on commenting pallu of Pratibha Patil. His this comment was totally uncalled as those smses asking where is RAJ.
If someone whose knowledge of Marathi & Maharashtrians are as poor as his thinking is standing up and trying to defame Maharashtrians then isn't it Marathikatta's duties to defend? Afterall it is Marathikatta right?
It is expected that there can be difference of opinion between members and a mature debate is expected. But getting reply like F*** and A******. Is this a price we are getting to defend Marathi view? and that too Marathi katta?

On one hand you talk with deep knowledge about supposedly international issue of terrorism , on other hand you think it is ok to always barricade yourself as mararthi and non-marathi and blame anybody with differing view as anti-marathi. What a duality or double speak! BTW, may be you do not know that terrorism today has many connotation from pan islamic terrorism like Al-Quida to local verisons of it. India has a home grown local terrorism like what happened in Malegaon or Ahmedabad or Coimbatoor. Terrorism is not solved by sweeping issues under the carpet in name of unity. India has suffered more local terrorism which has been created and fanned by people like Modi, Amar singh and in same bracket I put MNS. They all are hate mongers who pit one community agianst other. And that is how terrorism is created. So why shouldnt we talk about them! Why shouldnt be corner people who seek to divide India on one pretext or the other.
My comments are on Pratibha Patil's pallu is not about marathi but on president of a country. She seems more worried about beholding her pallu in place than to have common sense of not visiting hospitals with her sniffer dog sqauds in time of suffering and tragedy.
As for where is Raj SMS, why are you so hurt?? It is not about marathis at all. It is about Raj and what he was doing to Mumbai just few weeks back by creating a new wave of polarisation in Mumbai from streets to offices. And this question was asked not by one reporter or two, but whole lot of people on forums, twitter, blogs etc.

@Prashu, I guess we both are in same boat. We try to reply the abusive language used by Chankya. Sometime he also call us "kids" and "bachche" which is not at all good for discussion.
But, we can't stop him writing any kind of nonsense, And the admin too deletes my comments without thinking why i wrote it. In past we all decided that nobody will comment on Chankya's views. Then he started his own article and started commenting on it. I don't think the Admin knows what to delete. He deleted one article (regarding wrong information provided by BBC about maharashtra and "deshdrohi" movie.) submitted by me, without even sending me a message, although there was nothing abusive in it.

We should always be united.But our country stands on the principle of "unity in diversity".We are comprised of many regions,cultures and languages,each having its own issues.We cannot ignore those.Only when we start respecting each others diversity and learn to take all of them together will we be truly united.

In the situation like this, i expect discussion about terrorist attacks, protests and action plans. But what is happening here is personal fights over marathi and anti marathi. And thats the reason iam warning both of you guys to control and respect the situation. But you don't seems to understand, anyways this is a last warning to both chanakya and prashu. I don't care if nobody comes on katta, it is better that katta is deserted then such personal fights.

3 tblsp Fine Wheat Flour (Maida)
1/4 tsp Baking Soda
Oil to deep fry
To make pani:
1/2 cup Tamarind (Imli) Pulp
2 cups Water
2 tblsp roasted Cumin Seed (Jeera) Powder
2 tblsp un-roasted Cumin Seed (Jeera)
Coriander Leaves
3 Green Chilly (Hari Mirch)
2 tblsp Mint Leaves (Pudina Leaves) Chutney
1 tblsp Black Salt (kala namak )
2 tblsp Jaggary (Gur)
How to make pani puri:
* To make pani:
* Measure all ingredients.
* Adjust spices and tangyness to taste.
* Strain through a wire strainer to remove any rough bits.
* To make puri:
* Mix sooji, maida, baking soda, salt and enough water to knead a soft dough.
* Stand covered with wet cloth for 15-20 minutes.
* Make small sized balls.
* With the help of some dry maida or sooji, roll into thin rounds.
* Heat oil in a pan and deep fry puris till very light brown and crisp.
* Drain in a paper towel for a while to dry out the oil.
* Store in an airtight container when cool.
