The Gargai and Pinjal water supply projects are likely to be completed before time, civic officials said on Friday after revealing the findings of a recent yield study.
"After our Middle Vaitarna project is completed in 2011, we will begin work on the Pinjal and Gargai water supply projects. Both of them will be completed by 2021. Though the combined water supply to Mumbai will be the same, we may have to go for the Pinjal project first. We may also consider going for both Gargai and Pinjal projects simultaneously" said additional municipal commissioner (projects) Anil Diggikar.
