Hutatma chowk hold the gathering for all local politicians to pay their tributes to 105 martyrs of maharashtra samyukta samiti who fought for creation of seperate state as maharashtra. These 105 mumbaikars were killed in the police firing at this place in fountain while fighting for seperate mahrashtra state. Until then maharashtra and gujarat was one state called as Bombay presidency.
