14th Sep 2008 is a Ganesh Visarjan day. Lalbag is full of human crowed to just see one glance of "Lord Ganesh". Even in heavy rain people don't want to move away. It was just amazing to see when actual "Raja" was coming out of the gate. It was like ocean of human crowed was roaring with waves just to say "Ganpati bappa morya, Pudhchya varshi lavkar ya".

Nice pictures rockie. Really "RAJA" is the correct word, and really amazing crowd.
No doubt he is pride of Mumbai,but what about others Ganesh Mandals? Ganesh Galli is more respectful then Lalbuag,but then also you can see hardly few people at visarjan.the woes said to Lalbaug cha Raja is fulfilled.But media people have given so much hike to that mandal,that its very difficult for common man to take darshan.Everybody knows how common worshipers are treated there.We understand that it is not easy task,as volunteers has to work under immense pressure and stress but VIP's are treated more sweetly even if volunteers are same conditions.The volunteers shouldn't forget that Lalbaug Cha Raja has been made popular n greater due common people,who visit there.Lalbaug cha raja is from so many years,but from few yrs it has been overrated then it should be.Raja is from the yr. 1934,wasn't he fulfilling the woes at that time? if yes then why werent there so much craze in 60's,70's n 80's.And isn't there any other Ganesh mandal's Ganpati who fulfills the woes in Mumbai? No doubt many people go there as they love him,n they go wid true heart,but there also lots people who goes there for time pass,just because some of there neighbor or relatives/friends have been there!!!
Please Mr. Sahil don't spoil this thread by putting internal mandal politics here. When i am taking photographs or looking at god from my lens. That time for the divine statue which is in front of me. it is just god who created all of us. so please i would like to request you. Be mumbaikar and don't push mandal politics here. Let mumbaikar enjoy the pics which all taken in crowed of "janata". i think you better get definition of "Janata" and i am part of that crowed. I don't which mandal doing what for me "GOD" is god even at home and in Ganesh Galli. Just respect Art work behind everything.
And FYI I am not from media. this is just small service for mumbaikar who can't see all this "Ganesh murtis" being in VIP's or Big "Q". Just say Jai Maharashtra. We have enough issues in mumbai. So I would like you to fight against them. Aabhari ahe tumcha Sahil saheb.

Lalbaugcha raja is a brand because they have got good makerting people in their ganesh mandal, and there is no doubt about this point. Hope media don't take it to the point where the whole fun is gone.
