Every year as the summer sun dries up the city’s water resources, the government machinery sounds an alarm and Mumbaikars are asked to brace themselves for impending water cuts.
However what in fact had to be done was to educate and encourage citizens in the practice of rain water harvesting which can considerable alleviate the strain on our existing resources.
Unknown to many in the city however, rain water harvesting has been in practice in the city in the distant past and the remnants of this practice can be seen at Kanheri Caves ensconced in a remote corner of Borivali National Park.

BMC should first fix the waterlogging and then give gyan about water harvesting. Or they can do one more thing, suggest people to consider waterlogging as means to water harvesting.
Basically stop giving gyan .. do something. All you guys are doing is changing seats in the buses (selling ad space), buy machines to stich the roads (instead of building good roads in the first place), advertise against child labor (and employ them for all chor contractors of bmc) ..
