Top leadership of Shiv Sena and BJP will come together on Thursday to felicitate Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi in Mumbai. The function has been organised by Vandemataram Foundation in coordination with various Gujarati community organisations in the city.
The BJP is going that extra mile to market Modi in Mumbai, hoping that the close bond between city’s 40 lakh Gujaratis and their relations back home would help the chief minister in the assembly elections in November.

Sena has taken up very difficult task, in fact people like me who like sena for few things won't like their new assignment at all.
Modi is a almost a terrorist, at least he looks like one (blame it to hindi movies), he might have done good things too but thats not what he is known for.

He is taken Gujarat to the top of the developed states in industralisation and agriculture.
This despite the fact that half of Gujarat is a desert and it shares a border with apna pyaara padosi - Pakistan.
Lastly don't forget. He is the democratically elected leader of Gujarat state... just like the Sena was democratically elected in Maharashtra.

He already is Numero Uno among the 40 lakhs gujaratis in Mumbai.....and abroad (remember his US visit). Has been for the past 5+ years and there is no potential challenger on the scene.
Only way he can be beaten is if some other Gujarat leader demonstrates better economic strategy than him.
For the gujjus there is no god greater than Lakshmi... no not even Krishna :-)
As far as looks go, not everyone can look like Shahrukh or Hrithik can they. For every Shahrukh there is one Nana Patekar ;-)
