Documents available with CNN-IBN show how the MIDC twisted rules to give this 55-acre plot to Deshmukh's charitable trust. While the actual cost of the plot is Rs 115 per metre the Manjra trust had to pay a mere Rs 5 per acre. Can you imagine Rs 5 per acre of land! Should anyone get land at that price whatever be the reason? It is Deshmukh's family which owns the charitable trust Manjra

1 acre is nearly 4047 sqare meters.
And market price of that land in latur is 115 per "METER" that makes actual cost Rs. 4,65,405/- per acre.
Land given to Mr. Vilasrao's trust is 55 acres which would worth Rs. 2,55,97,275 (nearly 2.5 crores).
As per the reported news actual price paid is Rs. 5 per "ACRE" that means Rs. 275/-.
Is this news correct, it is slightly unbelievable.
Govt often gives land at Rs 1 per acre also I think... so if you have a trust and have influence all this is possible.
