It's a birthday gift Raj Thackeray is expected to love, but one that could well mean more trouble for the thousands of migrants from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in Maharashtra.
The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has decided to launch a 364-day ‘Hatt Puja’ or ‘remove puja’ campaign on June 14, when Raj turns 40, to counter the one-day ‘Chhat Puja’ Union Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has announced he will perform in the MNS stronghold this year.
The campaign would be aimed at migrants the MNS says encroach upon public property, set up kiosks or roadside businesses illegally, steal electricity or secure permits and licences to live and work in Mumbai and its neighbouring areas even though they may not be eligible.

I am sure Mr.Raj his well wishers will not allow what Mr.Lalu Yadav is trying , I would like to state that the time has come to perform the Hatt Puja as we the citizens of this Mumbai city are finding it very difficult in our daily routine be it commuting in the trains where these people who most of the time are without ticket & travelling on roof tops & making the traveling for us mumbaikars a hell , Request your attention to the Thane station Area especially the area which comes under the Railways it seems the Railway minister has given them permission to carry out business in the station area. These people dump the garbage at the same place & have turned the Thane station into a garbage bin.
Let us perform this puja once for all ehough is enough.
Forcing the Goverment machinery to act & making the government babus abide the rules strictly without getting a bad name we can bring back the old glory to Mumbai.

sandeep, i agree with you partially. On the fact that, somebody needs to get his hands dirty to clean the dirt. I believe MNS is doing that job for now. However i would be very happy if they don't end up creating their image as trouble makers or street fighters.
Lalu's declaration for conducting puja at shivaji park is nuisance and irritating for all mumbaikars for sure. If that happens raj will become permanent hero and a saviour for most of us ... politically wrong move from lalu, unless they have different plan which i don't understand here.

The move seems politically correct when you consider that the general elections are round the corner now.
If the UPA goverment loses power then Laloo could soon find himself out of a job both outside Bihar and also inside it.
;-)
And lets not forget that Laloo is one of the shrewdest politicians around. He knows that the key to his coming back to power in Bihar are the vast majority of people of poor economic classes for whom having trains going out of bihar is more important than whether the trains make a profit for the indian railways.

lalu bhaiyya move seems politically correct considering that he has one aim - becoming lifetime CM of bihar again, if not directly then by proxy
after all to do a pooja sucessfully takes barely one day of work but to run a state successfully requires hard work for 365 days a year for 5 years at least
Lalu ji was in complete charge of a mineral resources rich bihar for 10 years! can we know what progress bihar made in that period.. how many manufacturing, services, SEZ or IT industries were set up in that land during his rule..
we do know that the people there finally got fed up of his misrule and kicked his party out in the elections
so now he takes the easy way by opposing Raj to appear like a hero or saviour of biharis outside bihar, the very same biharis who so desperately got out of it during his 'raj'!
for the good of maharashtra, bihar and not to forget the indian railways, Lalu ji should stick to his current job and not politisize pujas.. and neither should Raj or any other neta or abhineta
