Better merge shivsena into MNS and let Raj lead it.
Well 10 years ago thats what everybody would have thought.Raj who lead the Student wing,Bharatiya Vidyarthi Sena, was seen as the automatic choice. Uddhav was far away from politics doing his photography.Thats when chamchas of the sena supremo, who saw raj as a threat created differencesbetween the family.
The support which we see for raj today only makes us think what if these two parties were together and had fought for the common cause of the maharashtrians.The rise of MNS might help the congress as it could eat into the share of Shiv Sena votes
Punch, that is the idea. Congress wants to build up Raj up to the point where he destroys the Sena-BJP votebank. If the votes are split, Congress NCP wins easily. Last elections, Congress was performing so badly but they still won against BJP-Sena. Now with Raj taking more Sena votes, they will win again.
That's why I say this is all of no use in the end. Muscle power doesn't get any rewards nowadays. It just keeps people thinking that finally someone is defending our interests. But nothing happens.
Back in the 60s the congress cleverly used the SS to eliminate the Communists who were their biggest threat.
The SS broke the back of the communists in the trade unions across the state
Now the Congress is using the MNS to do the same thing to the SS
