Addressing Shiv Sainiks for the first time after the dismal performance in the Assembly elections, Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray told partymen that it’s time they took off the gloves and got their hands dirty.

In an aggressive 40-minute speech on Monday, sources said, Uddhav, who had been reclusive since the election results were declared, asked supporters to storm the streets while raising public grievances.

“Do not hesitate to contact me to air your grievances. My cell phone will be on 24 hours,” he said while spelling out his plan for a complete overhaul of the party cadre in the coming days.
