Just three days after the international clothing chain GAP withdrew a line of apparels from its stores worldwide following a media report alleging that the garments were stitched by child labourers in a shop in New Delhi, 50 children below 14 years were rescued from various industries in Dharavi on Thursday.

Acting on a tip-off, a special team raided 40 places in Dharavi including zari units, hotels, bakeries and leather industries and rescued the children.
