The number of people infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in India has taken a sharp dip from 5.2 million to 2.5 million, Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss said on Friday.
Surprising, isn't it? Normal population double or half the infected people died during this year? Or seriously people are improved ethically.
With this rate of decline, we may not even need to find cure for HIV, what you say?

If this is true then thanks to Media and the advertising campaigns they carried in the city. Media overdoes almost everything. Remember balbeer pasha :)
You are right saurabh we may not need to find cure for HIV. As Kiran mentioned media is really doing wonderful job. I think Bill Gates donated something around 500 crores, 3 years back towards AIDS/HIV relief in India.
Though Bill Gates is trying to convert followers of the religion of UNIX/Linux into the religion of Microsoft, India is getting benifit of AIDS/HIV relief.
Iam not sure how much the NGO's would have helped. But advertising of balbeer pasha was very very loud and noticable in mumbai, it would have definately helped.
Now we should try and get Warren Buffet or the Google guys to donate 500 crores for TB/Malaria relief in India :-)
