1. Size of a mandap should be 35-0 '' x 12-0 ''.
2. Mandap should be removed before October 1.
3. Mandap should not obstruct the light and ventilation of adjoining premises and block their access.
4. Debris generated by mandap and ganeshostav mandal should be removed immediately.
5. NOC from traffic and local police a must.
6. The mandap should be structurally stable.
One of the guideline also suggest to have own artificial pond at home :)
There is no mention of idols height though, we can assume that its not more than mandaps height.
Ganeshotsav is nearing on 25 odd days and still hundreds of applications for ganesh mandaps are pending with BMC. In effect we can see less mandap this year.
