Japanese information technology company NEC Corporation, IT services and solutions company CMC Limited and City Corporation Limited signed an agreement on Friday to develop a fully digital city at Amanora township in pune.
The agreement provides for supply of technology backbone, including high capacity servers and other communication devices by the NEC and integration and delivery solution by CMC Limited.
With the help of a single smart card based system residents will be able to move in and out of township,access different segments of the township, pay bills, or purchases items of daily needs online.The process will involve back-end integration with banks, retailers and government agencies.
