Nearly 115 years after the historic incident where Mahatma Gandhi was pushed out of a first class train compartment in South Africa though he had a valid ticket, a courier boy is humiliated in a similar way every day.
Arivindsingh Thakur, 26, who holds a valid first class season ticket from CST to Mankhurd and Dombivli to Borivli has had to deal with taunts from co-passengers everyday just because he doesn’t look the part of a first class passenger.
While Gandhi took up the fight against racism to the masses after the episode, Thakur has opted for subtle defiance by wearing his first class ticket and railway identity card around his neck.

A lot of people in first class tend to behave in a way which can be termed nothing,but,RACIST.ये फर्स्ट क्लास है..is a sentence which you hear quite frequently. More often than not,it is in a tone meant to offend the person. Just by paying a couple of hundred rupees more these people behave like zamindars of the compartment.
There have been instances when these zamindars were made पोपट by a person apparently not looking like the "First Class Citizen".
I have an incident.
An aged man probably in late fifties boarded a borivali bound train on a holiday from dadar.He had a crumpled shirt which he had kept out on a white lenga.There was a cloth bag which one would carry to buy vegetables,groceries all in one.[No not a funky bag from a big retail store chain].One आगाऊ passholder said the dreaded sentence.Yeh First class hai.This simpleton guy removed a big bundle of 500 Notes and showed it to him. He said i have this so that i can pay the fine. and if thats not enough i have a pass as well.

haha .. this is good. One of my friend once given me theory of first class and a second class. Don't remember the detail theory, but what it meant was Second class is a culture and first class is degradation of this culture.
hey this is kool...hmm even i have seen such zamidars while travelling by our local trains ,and most of the first class passengers behave as if they have the first class air pass.They really need to do some reality check.
