पाकिस्तानी दहशतवाद्यांनी निरपराध भारतीयांचे रक्त सांडले असताना त्या देशाशी क्रिकेट कसले खेळायचे, असा सवाल करीत क्रीडा मंत्री एम. एस. गिल यांनी दौऱ्याला आधीच रेड सिग्नल दाखवला होताच. आता क्रीडा खाते तसेच परराष्ट्र मंत्रालयाकडून 'दौऱ्यावर जाऊ नका' अशी सूचना असणारे पत्र बीसीआयला मिळाले.
