Does anybody know where sreesanth was standing when he took the last catch. It wasn't Fine leg .. where did he came from ?
You know why I like this win in the final? Because there were no super heroes. If Youvraj had fired, everyone would have treated him as the big man, superstar. We always want these single heroes who save us.
But not this time. Everyone played their part more or less. And if one person could not play well today - like Yuvraj - someone else played, like Gambhir. That is teamwork.
This is how teams should win. Not because of one person's heroism, but if someone does not succeed on one day, another person would.
Already media has started making Dhoni a hero. Remember, everytime we do that, he will pull him down that badly when he loses.
We are the same people who tried to attack Dhoni's house after the world cup. Dont forget that while we celebrate!

I am happy because India beat the biggest chu**** country of all time (Pakistan). Dhoni made a very gutsy decision on teh last over as he quoted that Harbajan Singh was scared to bowl the last over. So anyone who beats Pakistan is my friend and this time it was India :). But this will be overplayed on all the channels for channels for long which will be boring.

For me one of the best statements came after the match... and it was said by none other than the original 'Sachin' - Mr. Sunil Gavaskar (my hero).
He said - "India won it's first world cup under a captain from a small town, Kapil Dev. He is India's greatest cricketer. It's fitting that India has won it's second world cup again under a captain from a small town"
It was so good to hear this words from one of India's greatest cricketers about another of India's greatest cricketers.
It was their teamwork that won India our first world-cup.
And this T20 team showed the same teamwork and fearlessness.
That is what Gavaskar recognised at once and made his statement.
It was great to see Dhoni remain so cool even after winning the cup. While his teammates were dancing and prancing he stopped to give his jersey to a youngster.
A man who remains so cool and unaffected in tense situations is great. But a man who remains cool and unaffected even in triumphant situations is really awesome.

The cup is won. It's over now.
The media can hype the achievement and the cricketers for this week.
But after that they should shut up and allow team to concentrate on the future.
Also I dont know how many people remember the comment by the australian captain and the coach made some 1 year ago.
They said that they were working on strategy to get 400+ runs in ODI and 300+ runs per day in tests.
They wanted to take the game to the next level after winning everything in sight for 10 years.
They did get a 400+ score in ODI. Remember that match guys ? They lost it of course (and it was in South Africa).
But they are still constantly working on it.
For such scores the T20 'technique' will be required.
Kiran you must try to understand that it was more technique than slogging that we saw.
You see slogging in ODI as well... especially at the end.
In Cricket our real enemy is Australia, not Pakistan. No one has done better dhulaai on us than them!
Thats why this victory is sweet - for me the the final was India vs Australia!
We were at our aggressive best playing against Australia. If you look at aggression - remember every bowler's reaction after a wicket - the players think so too.
We should be planning on defeating Pakistan every time. Nothing less is acceptable if we want to give a fight to Australia.
This time, vs Australia, I saw our team playing like never before. How Joginder Sharma came back in the last over. Sreesanth getting Hayden and pounding on the floor. Harbhajan's scream and Dhoni's single raised finger.
Thats our enemy. They are our target, nothing else matters. Its a battle of humans (Indians) vs Terminators (Aussies) and I WANT TO SEE THEM CRAWLING.
When did we ever see fear on Aussies face? AGAINST US! Who screwed their bowlers? US!
Now we should repeat it. What Dravid-ganguly promised us 2 years back - this team should fulfil that!
(Yes, BCCI is still in the age of superheroes - bloody habits! That reward to Yuvraj is just an example. This is a team-game we should not build up superheroes)
We have a good chance ahead to nail down aussies again. Home series of seven on dayers is starting from 29th september.
And india is on all time high, home ground, home crowd .. good chance to fix aussies mentally. We want to beat australia because they are ruthless :) .. nothing else.
I bet if finals would have been between Aus and Pak, we would want pakistan to win. .. or at least i would want that.
Now is the time to pray for Dhoni. How will he manage the three big guys in the ODI team? I think Dhoni wont be in command if they are in the team - seniority and all that. He will listen to them, and the team will have the safe attitudes of the three big guys, not the aggression of Dhoni. I think without the seniors, Dhonis team may have a chance against Aussies.

I feel the seniors will manage themselves and won't give any problem to Dhoni.
In fact Dhoni must be the luckiest captain in recent years. Having 3 such seniors concentrating only on their batting. All he needs to worry now is his own batting and his bowlers.
So I think we are doing a lot of injustice on the golden trio.
Firstly those 3 guys are real good crickters even today.
Secondly they are all dedicated team players. Each of them has played as a player when the other guy was captain. And they have given their best to their captain (and the team) without any dirty politics.
Thirdly all 3 of them give their maximum on the cricket field. What can they do if we expect miracles from all 3 of them, all the time ?
Fourth point is that all three of them are real gentlemen sportsmen. They will give Dhoni all the co-operation and guidance he needs.
Last point is that each of the three knows that they have only few year of cricket left before them. If they don't perform for any reason it's they who are going to be dropped, not the up-and-coming youngsters who have got India its 2nd world cup !

As from my point of view i would suggest that this team should be send for the nexr tour and the reason is also very simple that the whole team who have played so well and got a worldcup for us will be on fire and definetly we can expect a good and positive response with them for the coming play against Australia. I would like to congratulate the whole Indian team for such an excellent performance and bringing the world cup on behalf of marathikatta and its member's.

Bohut bada galti kiya woh yuvraj singh ko 1crore nahi dena chaiye tha woh tho pavwala ko milna chaiye tha for spending 4-5 hours watching the match as well specially watching the presentation ceremony.AAkh aur kaan dono khol ke baitha tha presentation ceremony ke time.

Gilson have converted India' cricketing issues into a gardening problem.
I suppose Pawar is ideal choice as the Gardener. He has got good experience of sugarcane, grapes etc :-). He will select only plants which gives fruits not just decoration flowers.

I have some 'inside information' from the journalists who travel with the Indian team, thats why I am worried. My contacts may have lied to me, or they may not be entirely correct, but my impression of the team is a bit different.
Don't take this as 100 % truth, but listen to me.
The golden trio are good cricketers alright, but unfortunately, they are all very fearful of being out of the ODI team. They are nice people too - but even nice people go a bit bad when you are talking about earning crores every month. One more month means one more crore, or much more - thats how they think.
The big 3 now know they cannot be captains again. Thats a good thing. But they are not such good team-players as you believe. The problem is money. Very difficult to be good team players when another guys sucess may mean a hit on your waller. Sad.
Also, the focus and aggression of this team is mostly because the hierarchy and respect is gone. A Dhoni will not take such bold decisions when there are people like Sachin or Dravid or Ganguly around. He and the entire team looks up to them. Unfortunately not a good thing, as they are also a very afraid bunch. Our trio has always found it hard against foreign teams. John Wright also said that Indians look like they are going to a funeral the moment they get into a flight. Afraid. The new guys are new - so only aggression is there, no fear yet. Dhoni naturally is unafraid too. But the seniors' fear will infleuence the youngsters also.
This is what I think. My friends may not be fully correct - but I have to take them somewhat seriously because of their experience in cricket reporting. They say they can never write the truth in their newspapers. It will not get published.

Your 'inside' information is disturbing and dangerous.
Disturbing because the top 3 will still want to play till another world cup (Dravid and Ganguly for sure). So their influence, good or bad, is bound to remain for another 3 years.
Dangerous because this influence will also affect the current newcomers after spending some time in the team.
How to fix it - Should we have limit on maximum number of matches a player can play ? Even if he performs in each match still he should be rested after he reaches the limit. Advantage might be to prolong his career as well.
What other ways can this be done ?
I know meemumbaikar. No easy solutions I can think of. BCCI knows all this. But so far they could not do anything because they thought people wont watch matches if the Big three dont play.
This win may have given BCCI some confidence to play without the big 3 - give a free hand to Dhoni.
What I hope is that the Big three will decide to get out of the way and let the youngsters play. They need to learn soon. win and lose a few matches.

Sachin has openly hinted that he is thinking of cutting down on ODI. He has to... to prolong his career (and business) for some more years.
Sourav will be more than glad to be in any one team - be it T20, ODI or Tests
As for Rahul he has liked test cricket most of all right from the start.
So BCCI can accept Sachin's suggestion, request Dravid and force Sourav, to play only in Tests :-)
