The BSE is at its all time high BUT the BCCI is at its all time low. India lose to Australia even after a brilliant opening partnership between Ganguly and Tendulkar.

Indian top order is playing in test-cricket mode & the bottom order is playing in T20 mode.
Only the Aussies are playing in ODI mode.
So they are winning.

We never improve our singles and doubles scoring... despite every coach recommending it for the past 10 years (Bob Simpson was the first to highlight it strongly).
Every coach from J Wright to G Chappel has tried to make indian batsmen cut down on 'missed balls' but there is no improvement.
As meekon said our batsmen try to improve batting techniques... but in the middle of a match rather than in the nets or camps.
Consider this match. We lost by 18 runs.
Take Ganguly's inning of 86 runs of 111 balls.
It looks like 25 balls without runs.
But he hit 7 fours and 2 sixes. So 40 runs of 9 balls.
Means he scored rest 46 runs of 102 balls !
Also look at Tendulkar 72 of 72. Looks good doesn't it - 100% strike rate.
But he scored 9 fours and 1 six. 40 runs in 10 balls.
So rest of his 32 runs came of 62 balls.
Aussie's have long made it a point to score 300 of 300 balls. To prevent complacency their coach is asking them to work on scoring 400+ in ODIs and 300 a day in Test Cricket.

As for Dravid well he is totally out of form.
Imagine for a moment that he is an aussie player and think what Aussie Board will do.

Its not shame to loose to aussies as long as we keep improving. In fact ODI at nagpur wasn't a bad competition, chasing 317 against aussies is not easy at all.
What i don't like is the media's coverage on the team when they loose and especially when they win.
Yes yur right .. I think the entire team should get 50 lakhs for puttin up a fight.. I totally agree with you ... I like your attitude. ekdum fundoo

Pavwala .. problem with you is you are expecting things from indian team which they cannot deliver at this time, we can only hope them in future. But then its not your fault, the way media hyped the glorious indian team most of us want them to defeat aussies everytime.
If you look into the reality 4th ODI we won against australia is a win after 3 and half years of play, which is good news. Media, bcci and politicians has ruined the whole stuff, they are made hero's by advertising companies and channels like india tv .. fact is they are not .. aussies are hero's.
Andre symod's yesterday's statement .. "I watch them (indian cricketers) all the time on TV. The things which are given to them and the way they are treated is almost like rock stars. It right on our face, its very irritating to watch it".
You have to expect .. cause they have been paid for it .. if people like u r happy when india wins 1 out of 4 just because its Australia then I dont see anything good comin out of Indian cricket. If they played in Australia and they won that 1 match then it was an achievement but when they are playing in India there is no excuse. India is an international team they should perform like one, even Bangladesh wouldve won the odd 1 match . So my dear friend Kiran are you comparin India with Bangladesh?

Kiran, in that case the problem is not with pavwalafrommumbai ..... the problem is with the Indian cricket team. If they cannot deliver, THEY SHOULD NOT PLAY.
Maybe, they should take a break and then come back fresh. Probably that could help.
I agree that the media is creating a hype about everything, but I think all this comes with Indian cricket. Being a cricketer, one should be able to keep his head on his shoulders and not get carried away.

All iam saying is Australia is better cricket team then us and we have a long way to reach there. As long as we are improving its good .. nothing happens overnight.
And our expectations from the team are not set by the team .. they are set by media.
Iam not saying they are doing briliant, but they are definately not doing bad.

Its OK to lose against Australia
Its OK to lose against Sri Lanka
Its OK to lose against Bangladesh
we just have to keep on improving :)
Kiran you are absolutely right :)
Haha .. you may be right pavwala. But the fact is aussies are world champion's and we should be happy with giving them tough ..at least for now.
