This may not be one of his Best game but is definately memorable for him and his fans as it was little different this time bcoz in 2007 he missed a lot of hundreds and obviously neither him nor his fans wanted this to continue in 2008 and this hundred came at a right time.

Yes in fact test match is more like a chesss game & sachin played it briliantly.Nowadays the first thing that opposition team do is put a defensive field to sachin and deny him the strike.Thats the reason the percentage of boundaries was a little lower compared to any of his previous hundreds. What is evident in this series so far is the quality of batting the indian quartet is showcasing.Well done master.. you have a long way to go. The icing on the cake for india would be a win against australia, and for that you would need an alround performance.

He made all the right queen moves, knight moves, bishop moves as per what the situation demanded and used the tailenders not just as sacrificial pawns but real pieces with impact.
It was definetly one of his SMARTEST innings if not THE best innings so far of his career.
Consider that it was against Australia, in Australia, against some blundering (if not downright hostile) umpiring, with openers not giving a good start, the lower middle order unreliable...
It is a real pity for him that we ultimately lost the test and there is a chance that it may be declared unofficial.
