Vidharha Should be seperated from Maharashtra.Because since 50 years vidharbha's development is as it is.in Maharashtra's all the importance is given to west Maharashtra

Sir I have different opinion about it. In the United Maharashtra only Pashim Maharashtra is gaining importance. Vidharba, Konkan are lagging behind. It is clear as sunlight. Somebody made statement that only 200 dynasty are ruling Maharashtra for last 60 years. What is wrong if three Marathi States are in existence. Already Goa and Maharashtra are in fact two Marathi States. Because of formation of Goa the regional language and people got various opportunities. However it will diminish the political and other powers of Paschim Mahasrashtra and Political leader from Paschim Mahasrashtra. All Bhaus and Ashthipanjars have to take note of it that earlier SS and MNS backed the separation . It was expected that for obvious reasons Rashtravadi will oppose the separation. Accordingly Prominent Rashtravadi Leader publicly opposed the move. and there is paradigm shift is MNS and SS stand. It again highlight who is really influencing the politics of ruling and opposition parties in Maharashtra.

The feeling of opposition to division of states which you mention might perhaps be limited to the usual suspects viz the typical city-dwelling indian middle class. I may be wrong but the feeling i have is that the vast majority of the people living away from the major cities would either not bother at all whether their state would be divided or actually support the division in the hope of getting better infrastructure and governance.

I agree. I am not 100% sure but i think that 2 general elections ago UP had 85 seats in lok sabha. when uttarkhand spilt from UP it took away its 5 seats. What maharashtra can do to have better administration AND increasing its clout in the central goverment is to have sub-divide the current districts while still remaining under a single united state Currently there is a strong anti-state division feeling in the country. Maharashtra leaders should shrewdly use this to their advantage by asking for internal reorganisation of districts for better administration and then insisting for larger representation for those districts in the lok sabha

Mr. Akolkar is veterans and experienced journalist. He has studied well the Maharashtra as sucn his comment on the situation are trustworthy. It is immature to call him AKLECHA KANDA" etc. He has rightly advised to SS that you recognise the danger in future and act upon. Mr. Akolkar has forgotten that two and half year is very long period and paradigm shift can take place in that period. Strong,firy language unable to give justice the subject and show depth of one's knowledge "Mudde samplela manus guddya var yeto.We can make counter argument by using euphemistic and polite language. We should learn polite and gentle language it makes sould effect rather than abusive language. Hope we shall learn this.

Saheb as you mentioned the seriousness was initially there. But congress candidate for the Mahapur was Mr. Narayan Rane's candidate and it was the reason indeed for the debacle. Since it is Mr.Rane's candidate except him nobody was really interested in her election to the post of Mahapur. The C.M. was not interested for obvious reasons. The Rastravadi Congress has never friendly with Mr. Rane.Further her election to Mahapur post was plus point for the C.M. It is may be a ruling party or opposition party there is veto power in Maharashtra to a person who physically may not be there but his mere existence is very much influential. His word is final word in Maharashtra. Considering these factors after wards Mr. Rane was also least interested in the election as per news paper reports.
