I am sympthasier of both SS and MNS but I feel something different about the election of Mahapur. It is handiwork of that leader of Maharashtra who is doing back seat driving. In case the Congress candidate was elected to the Mahapur designation the credit was bound to go the C.M. Further it might have disturbed the balance of power in Maharashtra.The vested interest wants SS alive for their purpose however they dont allow SS to grow more than their expectation. The MNS stand off has come from the same reason. The common Marathi Manoos knows it though he overtly not react on the issue it is just like the price soaring before election the common man knows before why all the commodities become dearer who gets advantage from that. The funds collected by that way who is utilising for what purpose. It is open secret. Only experts are confused by this questions.

We should not attach much importance to such type of changing party. There is no idelogical reason for leaving Shivsena. If any body changing party for selfaggrandisement it is not new to Shivsena. Why Shivaji Maharaj got angree with Jasavatsing who was ranked ahead of Shivaji Maharaj at Agra Darbar of Aurangabad despite he was defeated by Shivaji Maharaj earlier and ran away from battlefield. It was earnest opinion of Marathi manoos before assembly election that somehow MNS and SS have to come together to contest assembly election , however unfornunately it was not done and the damage bound to happen took place. But now the controvorsy about the rightnes of Raj Thakre is over. Try to sea reason. Chief Ministers of a few states supported to Raj and demanded to end Bihari/Up dominance in Ralways and other fields. To cap all this Mrs. Mamta Banarji not only accepted contention ofRaj however she directed to govt. machinery to act upon that. Where is not controversy Raj is correct or not.

Here we have constructions going on all over, 365 days a year since last 3-4 years. we have mmrda, bmc, mhada, MUTP .. there are around 16 different authorities involve in the various projects in mumbai. Here we have nexus for water run by corporators in their respective constituencies, we also nexus of builders erecting towers on illegal land, govt. land, playgrounds, gutters. Half the car owners in mumbai park their vehicles on streets and open spaces. We have corrupt officers from marriage registration beuros to Mhada registrars. Train crowd is growing every day, accidents are no news any more and there is at least one rape story in today's newspapers. Slums and malls are growing at the same rate. Real estate prices are reaching in 8 digits, No middle class can buy a house in mumbai today. Today's Delhi is better then today's mumbai in many ways. I confirm this fact elaborated by the author, but i don't think thackrey's alone could have done all this. This is a team work, we blame thackrey because they have given us false hopes.

There could be any reason and only she knows but as i can think is as follows. First reason is career, most hard working and responsible smita also wanted a name in Shiv Sena but her values were always under-estimated by Bala Sahib. She has given more than Raj and Udhav but after that she didn't get as much, for which she deserve. So, she thought, breakup of MNS and Shiv Sena has vanished the image of well-wishers of marathi manus and the way they have choose can never give them a big success in maharashtra and also they will never value her so she thought that joining Congress will not only give her chance to get fame only state level but also on national level also. She knows the policies of Shiv Sena and MNS and she knows their strategy is same and can never marathi manus with deep impact. All the voters are not Marathi and more than 50% does not support MNS and Shiv Sena.The Result comes that Congress is long term investment plan and will give her growth with security. this is my personal opinion.

Of course another way of looking at it, as one of my skeptical friend pointed out, is that no matter which party is in power in Maharashtra, at least one Thackeray will be near the helm, to protect their business intrests.

Smita Thackeray was a power-center when shiv sena bjp ruled in 1995.She had quite a clout in the Hindi Film Industry during that time, as she produced some Hindi films. But this was largely due to her family name, thackeray. Much water has passed under bridge since ...". Bal Thackeray no more is the decision maker, Udhhav Thackeray along wit his cronies is calling the shots. Promininent leaders like raj Thackeray,narayan rane have disassociated themselves with shiv sena. The results of lok sabha and vidhan sabha are there for everybody to see. The common marathi man has started to distance itself from shiv sena. I am sure smita thackeray would have thought of joining the MNS, but it means she has curb her immediate aspirations, since MNS is still in the growth mode. Plus she would have to work under Raj Thackerays directions. The choice is to take up the service of Congress and get a jaagir from delhi.

Well... maharashtrians have been voting congress to power since 1999. ten years now, and another 5 years to go. Why not join the alliance that has 15 years with them?

But why she has to join Congress .....???? If she feels that shiv sena is being unfair to Maharashtrians then she could have easily join MNS.......Raj would have easily taken her...I think she want's to take some personal revenge ....
