A few decades ago almost every street corner in Mumbai had an Irani cafe , catering to all from mill workers to casual labourers. Today only a handful remains.
With corporates coming in forms of Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Cafe Coffee Day, Barista, etc. these small scale shops lose out and more people will get unemployed. Irani Hotels have been serving hygiene food affordable cost, we'll miss them.
