For the water meter project of BMC with estimated cost of Rs 8,000 for 15 mm meter and Rs 12,500 for 20 mm meters will be costing Rs 11,250 and Rs 13,300 respectively. This will lead BMC to pay Rs. 72.85 crores more. As per mumbai mirrors report the decision to increase the rate was of BMC's and there was no request by contractors :)
