The Muslim Council on Sunday decided not to allow burial of the bodies of the nine terrorists killed during the Mumbai siege in the Marine Lines Bada Qabrastan.
The council said it was trying to send a message to all cemeteries in India that none of the bodies should be buried on Indian soil.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil on Sunday met Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and said that he would not resign from his post. Patil, after meeting Deshmukh at his official residence 'Varsha' in south Mumbai, said that there is no possibility of his resignation.

Marathi stage artist Sadanand Joshi passed away this morning following a cardiac arrest, family sources said.
Joshi (86) is survived by his wife Asha and a son, Nilesh and daughter Nilima.
Joshi has performed around 300 stage shows. His contributions include 'Hasya Kallol', 'Swami', 'Mee Atre Boltoi', which is based on the life of Acharya Atre, a noted playwright.

The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) is set to provide commuters with a “jerk-free” ride on the city’s suburban trains — in 2010.
MRVC signed an agreement with Germany’s Siemens Transportation Systems on Wednesday for procuring high-speed, bolster-less bogies, which will help suburban commuters travel without vertical shock.
