After coming close to clinching the deal to buy the Bhatsa dam in Thane, the main source of water supply to Mumbai, at a cost of Rs 800 crore, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has backed out.

Common - Common man in mumbai still make 10 to 15 K per month in his 10th year of service .. There are lots of other jobs then IT like pharmaceutical, engineering, hotels, travel where salaries don't match to IT Industry. Buying a house for mumbaikars from these income group is a pain, sometimes a impossible task. CM's promise to build 2 lac houses for these income groups is a welcome move. read more »
