International builders are very interested in redevlopment of Dharavi. They are trying to get into alliances with Indian builders like Hiranandani Constructions, Rahejas, Kalpataru, Lokhandwala Infrastructure, Akruti Nirman etc.

The sale of Dharavi is advertised in 20 countries! The residents of Dharavi don't like the idea and are opposing it though. The plan is that they will be given housing after being moved from Dharavi. But probably no one trusts the government to do it all properly. read more »
