Mumbai Police on Monday suspended the licenses of 35 cinema halls of the city for not adhering to the Maharashtra government's order for mandatory screening of Marathi movies for minimum of four weeks a year.

The Marathi film industry is on a roll with three major hits in six months.

I am Suren from Aurangabad. Doing job I Pune.
We are Maharashtrians but I wonder how many of us see the Marathi movies in Theater.

After BMC got thrashed with their superb caretaker policy, they are acting little funny (like villians in old marathi movies). First their procedure for their profiling of land is not streamlined and then they have condition that if land adopters (NGO's) don't submit their proposal's in 30 days they will hand over the land to Caretakers (builders) for development. read more »
