The pot of gold which Indian Railways was sitting on for decades can at last be opened.
The state government on Wednesday paved the way for development of a 11-acre plot adjoining the Bandra (east) suburban station by granting a floor space index (FSI) of 4, which means that the built-up portion can go up to 44 acres of space.
“Let them speak our mother tongue, don’t respond to them in their language. Our corrupt attitude has helped bhaiyyas from UP and Bihar become ‘legal’ Mumbaikars. This is the last chance to wipe out our image as ‘purchasable community’ among North Indians,” Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President has urged.

We cannot expect the BMC to handle a population of 18 million. With a density of 23 people per sq ft there are bound to be hygiene and cleanliness issues. However, it is a pleasant surprise to see that the citizens of Mumbai are making an effort to keep the city clean. This can be seen on the city roads where people abstain from throwing things outside their car windows.

Every year as the summer sun dries up the city’s water resources, the government machinery sounds an alarm and Mumbaikars are asked to brace themselves for impending water cuts.
Seeing a suspicious bag or knowing about the presence of one a public place is a good enough reason to panic and run.
But there is a lesson for Mumbaikars in the manner in which Shreedhar Shinvele and Vishwanath Sonawane kept a cool head and dealt with this emergency at the Vishnudas Bhave Auditorium in Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
The Shiv Sena is now all set to glorify the humble vada pao, a favourite snack of Mumbaikars. Calling it the patent of the party, Sena chief Bal Thackeray said in an editorial in Saamna on Monday that the snack would be renamed “Shiv vada pao”.

Amitabh wants to reclaim the land in lonvala which he has earlier declared to be donated to the original owners. While Mumbaikars are queueing up withdraw their bookings for the flats after BMC declared the constructions on private forest land as illegal. Amitabh and family is quite in news for all filmy reasons for quite some now.

"Aapan yana pahilat ka?" .. remember the short program where they use to show picture of missing people and give their descriptions about how they look.
Police survey says there are hundreds of missing complaints every day and 80 percent of them are found. Most of these are small kids, school children who are found in the nearby area, at relatives place, under the bedroom etc.
