Almost two months after introducing the new suburban train, the railways have finally decided to get feedback from commuters so that changes could be made.

With the new futuristic trains on the track Mumbaikars will get to ride new trains from monday. Iron replaced with steel, wood replaced with polycarbonate, jail windows are replaced with french windows and there is no fourth seat anymore. Design changes to will definately make it look more european but fourth seat sacrifice is cultural shift to train commuters. read more »

Commuters travelling on the Central Railways' suburban line will now have to wait less with authorities announcing 33 new services from October 2.

Of the new trains, 25 would be on the Harbour line and among them 12 would link the western suburb of Andheri with Panvel in neighbouring Raigad district, the last stop on the Harbour line, railway authorities said. read more »
