Marathi stage artist Sadanand Joshi passed away this morning following a cardiac arrest, family sources said.
Joshi (86) is survived by his wife Asha and a son, Nilesh and daughter Nilima.

Joshi has performed around 300 stage shows. His contributions include 'Hasya Kallol', 'Swami', 'Mee Atre Boltoi', which is based on the life of Acharya Atre, a noted playwright.

The scenario easily represents a dichotomy in Mumbai. There’s a Marathi theatre festival, Nataknaama (with seven plays being staged over three days), starting from today at Prithvi theatre. And until last afternoon, the ticket sales were zero.
