The state government on Friday clarified that Bharatmata theatre in Lalbaug will be redeveloped at the same spot and will continue to screen Marathi films even after its redevelopment.

After having exempted Bhojpuri movies from Theatre tax, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has now proposed to exempt all regional language movies and dramas from tax from the year 2008-09.
