Chief minister Ashok Chavan on Friday allotted two Mhada flats in Malwani to `Slumdog Millionaire' child stars Mohammed Azharuddin and Rubina Qureshi. Given that the cost of the apartments was borne by the Mumbai Congress, Mhada has - for the first time in its history - appointed a political party as custodian of the property until the minors turn 18.

Though I accept Tamilians are part of India and they must be treated equally in india , i believe our Govt must not intefere in the sovereign affairs of another country like Sri Lanka. The situation that political parties are creating in Tamil Nadu (TN) is simialr to the one which parties in Pakistan or terrorist groups, ISI and others create for kashmir or Indian Muslims.

The Supreme Court has rejected Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's plea to contest this year's Lok Sabha polls. Dutt was to be the Samajwadi Party candidate from Lucknow.
Supreme Court refused to stay his conviction in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. Dutt was convicted under the Arms Act and sentenced to six years in jail by a TADA court. He is out on bail at present.
