अन्नभेसळ प्रतिबंधक कायद्याच्या कलम ३७ मध्ये गेल्या वर्षी केंद सरकारने दुरुस्ती केल्याने येत्या २१ ऑगस्टपासून देशात गुटखाबंदीचा मार्ग मोकळा झाला आहे.
या दुरुस्तीनुसार कोणत्याही 'प्रोप्रायटरी फूड'मध्ये निकोटीन अथवा तंबाखू मिसळण्यास मनाई करण्यात आली आहे. गुटखा 'प्रोप्रायटरी फूड'मध्ये येत असल्याने देशात २१ पासून गुटखाबंदी लागू होण्याची शक्यता आहे. मात्र, या बंदीला सहा महिन्यांसाठी स्थगिती मिळू read more »

Inspite of the ban on elephants, for the past one week one could see two elephants in the area around the Chembur market begging from the shopkeepers, in the midst of the heavy traffic. After the death of Lakshmi, the residents of Chembur are concerned about the welfare of elephants.

Chembur will soon be ‘the place’ for Information Technology (IT) companies as the government has planned out a new IT park, in Chembur. The Bombay Industrial Corporation, a private company involved in warehousing business, had signed a deal with the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industries, on May 31, to set up an IT/ITES park in Chembur.
